Responsible for

Job Purpose

To develop comprehensive knowledge base for project teams implementing projects around strengthening capacities of legislative task force oversight on SDGs.


Social Sustainable Development Organization (SSDO) is a research based non-governmental advocacy organization committed to contribute for the well-being of society through establishing an institutionalized system of social development and a responsible citizenship. It is a civil initiative aimed and equipped to stimulate public and policy dialogue on social development policies, legislative processes, democratization, and rule of law, good governance and human rights and civic action.

Key responsibilities

  • Knowledge management, promoting learning and innovative practices to SDGs localization efforts. Develop research-based knowledge content on SDGs 16 in current context of country;

  • Developing Training Manual/Toolkit on the knowledge and content of SDGs for capacity building trainings of project beneficiaries;

  • Developing relevant content for capacity building trainings, policy dialogue, policy action,      roadmap, and media presentable content;

  • Providing content for drafting of various policy actions around SDG-16 for assembly business including briefing papers for conferences, seminars, policy dialogue and media talk;

  • Establish and oversee monitoring and evaluation plan for the activities being implemented by project teams;

  • Provide direction for the relevant projects based on the project strategy document in consultation with director programs;

  • Lead the team members in achieving results of the project and supervise them by providing technical support;

  • Ensure strong documentation and timely reporting of program. Preparing training reports, lessons learnt documentation, stories of change and other program related documentation when required;

  • Providing strategic support in planning and management of trainings/meetings with government departments and relevant ministries in at Provincial and Federal Level;

  • Close coordination and follow up with project participants & stakeholders; other projects and departments within the organization;

  • Lead and coordinate the organization of meetings, workshops, conferences, trainings and related activities relevant to the implementation of the Project;

  • Updating M&E Plan and reporting against Log Frame;

  • Timely reporting senior management of developments in advocacy efforts and timely pursue for advice, if and when needed;

  • Contribute in brainstorming sessions for developing new ideas, proposals, and concept notes under the ambit of SDGs and CVE;

  • Support resource mobilization for the project, administer funding of other donors, sponsoring project interventions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University level degree preferably Masters in development studies/international relations/public policy/ or in a relevant discipline;

  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ work experience in development sector, at least half of which should have been related to research, SDGs, CVE, legislative advocacy work, and strengthening partnerships.

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of development theories, concepts, legislative development in country, public policy, SDGs and CVE;

  • Understanding and Skills around HR, program management & reporting;

  • Experience in partnership management;

  • Ability to travel on short-notice;

  • Excellent Writing & Research skills;

  • Pro-active in communication & information sharing.


Excellent command of English & Urdu – verbal and written.


Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and able to well present and analyse information.
