Description

Responsible for day-to-day management of administrative, financial and operational aspects of the project in accordance with organization’s policies and procedures and project strategy document.

  • Promote teamwork, information sharing and collaboration within and across different project teams, and between teams, government departments, network members and partners.

  • To profile and manage the network of women workers for advocacy to enhance women workers access to market

  • Conducting regular and periodic meetings of network

  • Profiling of women workers already working in job market including industries

  • Leading the network for media briefings on state of women workers

  • Training of women workers Alliance on leadership, public speaking, representation skills, labor rights, entitlements and monitoring workplaces.

  • Conducting field visits to monitoring of workplaces with respect to women access to market

  • Sensitization on labour laws through training of media persons on coverage of labour issues of women

  • Leading Action Research on gender pay gaps, representation of women in unions, implementation of anti-harassment policies, on disposal of disputes by labour courts

  • District Level conventions on better workplaces for women and conducting various District Level Advocacy Action/ Activities through meetings with relevant stakeholders among legislature, policy makers, labour department, labour unins, and associations of traders etc.

  • Provide direction for the relevant projects based on the project strategy document in consultation with director programs.

  • Ensure strong documentation and timely reporting of program. Preparing training reports, lessons learnt documentation, stories of change and other program related documentation when required.

  • Close coordination and follow up with project participants & stakeholders; other projects and departments within the organization.

  • Ensure value for money in execution of program activities.

  • Timely reporting senior management of developments in advocacy efforts and timely pursue for advice, if and when needed.

  • Contribute in brainstorming sessions for developing new ideas, proposals, and concept notes under the ambit of women empowerment and SDGs.

  • Support resource mobilization for the project, administer funding of other donors, sponsoring project interventions.


Requirements

  • Masters degree in social science with 3-5 years’ relevant experience

  • Experience in partnership management.

  • Ability to travel on short-notice.

  • Excellent Writing & Research skills.

  • Pro-active in communication & information sharing.

  • Languages: Excellent command of English & Urdu – verbal and written

  • IT: Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and able to well present and analyse information
