Syed Kausar Abbas, the Founding Director of SSDO, holds 13 plus years’ of progressive and diversified experience as a social and human rights activist. He is deeply involved in various facets of sustainable development, particularly in advocacy, accountability and transparency, legislative governance, participatory local governance, rural development, campaigning, public relations, media and project coordination in different roles and contexts with development sector organizations of national and international repute. He is an excellent communicator with well-developed media skills, including social media. Kausar is a strong organizer who regularly multi-tasks between managing different projects.
Muhammad Shahid Khan
More than 13 years of professional experience in the field of Academic & Action Research, Advocacy and Lobbying, Capacity Building, Program Development & Management, and writing in newspapers in various domains especially, Peace, Democracy, and Human Security, Governance Structures, Decentralization, Inclusive Governance, Parliamentary Procedures, Legislative Development, Rule of Law, Transparency & Accountability and Civic Rights & Responsibilities. The aim is to promote knowledge, peace, development, and democracy through advocacy, academics, and research endeavors.
Accomplished multilingual (English/Persian/Dari and Urdu), Program Support Management Logistics/ Administration/HR Professional & Monitoring /Evaluation, Event Management with excellent time management skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills with strong written and oral communication skills, and capacity to work independently and under supervision. More than 16 years prior experience of Program support Management Administration, Logistics, Procurement, Inventory, Transport, HR, Budget Management, Event Management, and Program Operations for list of international development programs donor assisted/donor funded programs of various International humanitarian agencies and UN.
Ashraf Noor Khan

Executive Master in Business management, and an excellent leader with a track record of documented contributions leading to improved financial performance, heightened productivity and enhanced internal controls. Manager Research & Program Development
Khurram Malik have done masters in Mass Communications and had over a decade of experience in journalist and around 11 years of progressive and diversified experience in Project management, campaigning, advocacy, communication, proposal writing, legislative governance, participatory local governance, public relations and media in different roles and contexts with development sector organizations of national and international repute. Besides this, he demonstrated skills with a record of accomplishment of working on political party development, strategy, policy, legislation and related themes. He has skills and experience in creating and directing campaigns and related initiatives. He has experience in managing communications/advocacy/media strategies, developing action plans. Before SSDO, he successfully completed 3-year tenure as a Senior Programme Specialist at DAI Project Consolidating Democracy in Pakistan (CDIP). Some prominent donor agencies he has worked with include: USAID, DFID, UNICEF, UNDF, DANIDA and Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). He also worked in Geo News, the leading news organization of Pakistan, as Senior Correspondent for more than eight years. He traveled to more than 20 countries to cover Prime Minister’s official visits and international conferences.
Ambreen Zahra Naqvi
Ms. Ambreen Zahra Naqvi is a women & child rights activist and is currently representing SSDO as Project Manager EWAM and National Coordinator Child Rights Movement Pakistan. Ms. Naqvi is associated with development sector for the past 6 years and has worked on several health, education & human rights projects with multiple government & private organizations including IDRAK development society, Ministry of Climate Change, National Institute of Health & Management System Internationals. She is a freelance trainer and has been working as consultant trainer with numerous national & international organizations. She has acquired her MPhil degree in the field of environmental sciences from Quaid I Azam University Islamabad and served QAU as president QDLS for 3 years.
Waqas Bin Zafar

A dynamic and self motivational development/humanitarian professional with skills and over 7 years of experience in communication, program analysis, program development, donor/stakeholder liaison, information & knowledge management, coordination, advocacy, project management and customer services. He has a demonstrated history of working in context of sustainable development, emergency, conflict and disaster response.
Throughout his career, he has worked on diverse programs funded by various UN agencies; UNICEF, UNOCHA, UNDP, UNFPA and renowned donors such as World Bank, DAI, USAID, US. State Department, FCO-Govt. of UK, British Council and Save the Children, just to name a few. In parallel to his full-time employment with SSDO, he is also volunteering as a “Program Coordinator” for a Texas, USA based chamber of commerce; Alhambra US. Chamber.
Manager Outreach & Volunteers
Samiullah Abbasi is a Social activist, Philanthropist, Young leader and Humanitarian Aid Worker. He has worked broadly with young people from diverse background.
Samiullah combines a wealth of experience with the vision and determination of a true young leader, offering to diverse audiences his unique blend of motivational speaking, leadership insights, and youth activism. He is also the Professional legislative fellow of U.S State department and was honored in the House of Representatives and Senate of the State of Ohio, USA by the speaker Clifford Rosenberger and Senator Frank Larose for his services for the cause of Youth Development and Democracy in Pakistan.
He also participated alongside the President of ICYF, President of Turkish Red Crescent Youth & Representative of Afghanistan & Tajikistan at the Youth Session during the establishment of OIC Red Network in the OIC Region. He also represented Pakistan during 4th Internal Youth Meeting held in Solferino, Italy. He has been quoted or otherwise featured on numerous media outlets including SAMA TV, DAWN News, The News, Al Jazeera, SUCH TV, etc.
Since 2010, he has been working at the grassroots level in Pakistan to help rural youth develop a passion for technology and to use ICTs as learning tools. He also served as the Youth-Prime Minister for National Youth Assembly and National Campaign Manager with Sustainable Social Development Organization where he was instrumental in spearheading innovative programs and projects. He was also awarded Emerging Young Leader Award by US Embassy in 2017 and Distinguished Alumni Award in 2019 by Pakistan US Alumni Network (PUAN).

Syed Aamir Abbas
He has been working with SSDO since the inception of the organization. Prior to his current position, he has been working in various roles such as Youth Accountability Ambassador, Assistant Constituency Coordinator and Program Officer. Currently he is serving as Project Coordinator for the EQuIP project focusing on electoral reforms, voter education and mobilization. Being an electrical engineer, he also assists the organization through providing IT services to programme and project staff. In addition to this, he is responsible focal person for various event management activities for the organization.
Legislative Engagement Officer
Seemeen Gul has earned Masters degree in English Literature. As well as she is a Lawyer of international law and human rights. She is the first Pakistani woman who was selected by UN WOMEN Head quarter New York in 2016 for one year fully funded Fellowship program in International law and human rights.
Gul has 8.5 years of experience of work at United Nations Pakistan, Afghanistan, United states of America, Yemen and Iraq in UN Flagship programs of SDG 1, 2,5,8,16 and 17. She has Developed operational plans, advocacy and policy framework plans for UN women New York and UNDP Yemen with key human committee(CCPR), Committee Elimination of Racial Discrimination(CERD), Committee on Racial discrimination against women(CEDAW). On 8th March 2016, she participated in General Assembly New York as a representative of UN WOMEN for women's day. Moreover United states Lincoln corner appointed her as a panelist on Ending violence against women in 2020.
Senior Admin & Finance Officer
He is qualified BBA (HONS) Finance & Accounting from Hazara University Mansehra with experience of 4 years in the areas of Finance & Admin with different Non-profit Organization. Having extensive knowledge of Finance and Admin related work, like Book keeping, Accounting Management, Payroll Process, Payment Compliance, Tax according to country law, Internal Control/Audit.
Communication & Reporting Officer
He is responsible for tracking the daily news published across widely circulated newspapers in the country, English and Urdu, alike and data entry in spreadsheets for media tracking, a bi-annually publication. The report is a social commentary on the indicators that are related to the social well-being of women and children and the crimes that are committed against them. Since its publication the Media Tracking Report has provided the backdrop for legislation passed for the safeguard of women. Furthermore, he writes the content for newsletter of the organization, a monthly activity journal. He's also a management support for the project EWAM (women workers alliance), a project led by TDEA (Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability) in collaboration with SSDO. He also has worked as a management support on the project CIP (Coalition Inclusive Pakistan) another project by TDEA in which rights of the transgender community are being highlighted.
